Doula Jill Barney
Hello, I’m Jill. As a mother myself, I understand the required blend of emotions and preparation needed for this journey into motherhood. My practice is centered on creating a safe, secure and calm space where you feel empowered and informed. I will help you navigate your options with confidence, clarity and evidence-based information. I have always been a caretaker and have really found myself in doing birth work, it's something I am very passionate about. I am continually expanding my knowledge with volunteer doula work, as well as various classes in childbirth, Spinning Babies and anything I can find. When I’m not supporting clients, I love to spend time with my family and in nature. Puzzles are also something I really enjoy doing in my down time.
WELCOME
As your birth doula, it is my job to support you physically, mentally and emotionally in order to ensure you have an empowering and positive birth experience. I believe the journey to motherhood not only involves physical preparation, but also significant mental and emotional readiness. Most overlook the importance of this aspect, yet it plays a crucial role in the birthing experience. I will give you evidence based information to make informed choices during labor and delivery, as well as postpartum. My goal is for you to be so well educated and prepared prenatally, that no matter when or how birth occurs, you are feeling confident and ready to trust your body.
